Do knights in shining armour really exist outside of fairy tales?
I really like being able to help others even if it's just to be that one friend you can call day or night to rant or share good news. Doing niceties like leaving the light on when you're out late with friends, meeting you at the door with a hug and a kiss, unexpectedly stopping by work with a picnic lunch, or bringing you coffee in bed is second nature to me. I don't know how to do or be anything else. I have a very positive attitude and a good sense of humor but a little shy at first. I like "just because" hugs and surprises and I like to leave little notes to be discovered in unexpected places. Relationships need give, take and compromise from both sides. Lasting relationships need devotion, respect and consideration as well as alone time, time with friends and together time that is attentive, but not smothering. I'm low maintenance, easy to please, like both dogs and cats, walks in the rain, drives in the mountains, trips to the beach, picnics, movies, reading, sewing, visiting new places and I'm always interested in learning and trying new things, except things that come under the heading of "death wish" like bungee jumping, sky diving, and driving in Wal-Mart parking lots.
My vision of a perfect partner is someone who has a great sense of humor, lots of patience, is spontaneous, adventurous, compassionate, fun to be around and a bit of a tease but not a practical joker. But, remember, if you dish it out, you'd better be able to take it. No grumpyness allowed!!
He doesn't smoke, isn't into mind games and is not a controller, but he should like to learn new things, visit new places, picnics, drives in the the mountains, visitng the beach, movies, and quite time at home.
