Semi-retired boat captain and former journalist. Well educated, well read. Reasonably good looking, reasonably fit, very healthy. Wear a full beard and still have almost all my hair. Outrageous, even quirky, sense of humor. I am going into this with no preconceived notions; not looking for love but will embrace it if it happens. Hoping to find the passion that's been missing from my life for so long. While I love sex I am old enough and mature enough to understand it isn't the center of the universe. I delight in the small intimacies that bind two people together: holding hands, a gentle caress in passing, nibbles on the neck, a fond touch of her rear as she passes by, cuddling on the couch, kissing ( I've been told I am a GREAT kisser ). Although I don't really like crowds and noise I do enjoy public events. I must admit, though, they aren't much fun without someone to share them with. I love museums, plays, concerts, antique shops, good restaurants, friendly dives, quiet times with friends and lover. One note of caution: if you know the name of any reality TV show winner, use the word "like" in any manner other than to indicate fondness or make a comparison or use "awesome" to describe anything less spectacular than a sunset or a tidal wave, don't waste your time or mine by responding. I guarantee we won't make it. Sorry, but sloppy language skills turn me off. On the other hand, I am not rigid in my perception of female beauty. I don't care if you have a few extra pounds. There is nothing wrong with a little meat to go with the potatoes and dangerous curves can be fun. Slender and average also work for me.
