I am happiest when I am outdoors. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping and pretty much anything else that doesn't involve guns or gasoline. When I'm home I enjoy listening to music (almost all types although blues, alternative rock and classical top the list) and watching offbeat movies. I earn my living largely by writing so I try to balance this in my daily life with regular exercise including jogging and my collection of various elliptical and weight machines. I don't subscribe much to organized religion but try to live my life with kindness toward others and a sense of integrity. I am left of center politically with real emphasis on issues of environmentalism and justice.
I am interested in meeting someone that can share or just appreciate my values. All of the things that I described that I enjoy doing? They are so much more meaningful when they can be experienced with someone else. This would include things like the theatre, dining out, traveling etc. I am also looking forward to being introduced to new things by someone else.
I think inter-personally my greatest asset is that I love to listen to people. I am pretty open, honest and funny but if there is nothing to say, that's OK too.
