Though it seems self centered to talk about onesself, it is a necessary evil on here. So, here I go with my self centered self. Lol. There will be a lot of I's and Me's in this one fella's. Please read my whole profile, so we do not waste our time. I know I seem picky, but why should you or I settle for someone who isn't truly what we want and end up like all those other people in miserable, sexless marriages?
I have a thing for fit men and/or redheaded men.Athletic to me means slim and fit. My biggest turnoff is a fat stomach, only secondary to facial hair. Yuck. (sorry) I do however see some men who have facial hair and look ok.
The most important things in a relationship are, trust, honesty, loyalty, faithfulness, monogamy, communication and things in common.
I am honest, trustworthy, sincere,devoted, attractive, fit, kind hearted, independent and hard working. I have a great big heart. I am a loyal and faithful person. I have been divorced for ten and a half years. I am comfortable with myself but have found a desire for companionship. It would be great to meet someone with some of the same interests as myself. God is a very big part of my life, though I am not a constant churchgoer. I drive a school bus, so I obviously love kids. I can't have anymore children of my own.
My daughter is grown. I have a two year old grandbaby who is the light of my life.
The bar scene is no fun to me, except on a very rare occasion. I haven't been to a bar in well over a year. I am a good cook and keep a fairly neat home. I am down to earth and find the most pleasure in the simple things. I love hiking the Appalachian Trail, Damascus Virginia and White Top Mountain. I intend to thru hike the whole Appalachian Trail some day. That will take six months of steady hiking. This is a my dream.
I am comfortable in an evening gown at the symphony, as well as jeans and a sweatshirt hiking the trails. I like to jog, bicycle, work out, primitive camp (As in a tent. I don't like campers or campgrounds, unless it's to shower), read, collect antiques, draw and write. I like ALL music. I spend a lot of time alone, working or working out. I would like to have someone to be around in my free time. Who knows, maybe I will even meet that special someone. If you live over an hour driving time, don't have any of the interests I do (especially fitness), are an athiest or non spiritual, please do not waste our time by writing. If you are live too far away, there is little time to spend to get to know each other. If you don't have some of the same interests,we would not be interested in each other. If you do not have God in your life, I would definitely not be interested in you. I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but why should we waste precious time writing, when there's no possibility of furthering contact. It makes it so I am checking emails that are a waste of time.
Now for the part you probably won't like and 90% of you will move onto anothers profile.
I am not looking for casual dates and sexual encounters YUCK!I am NOT anti sex merely anti casual sex. I want to love and make love rather than sleep around for gratification. I prefer celibacy over that. I have been celibate for a very long time. I am not interested in newly divorced, or worse yet, seperated men. It takes time to get over something like that. I know, I did it 10 1/2 years ago. I remember, though it is a vague memory and I have to search my mind to remember. I do know it took time to heal. You have to be thin or in good shape for me to be interested. I do realize that is NOT 95% of the men over 40, hence, I have been single for 10 1/2 years. If you have read this far and can deal with that "brutally honest" side of me, and are still interested (90% won't be they'll be offended) then read on please. I am actually a good catch. You will never be lied to or cheated on by me. I find both of those characteristics extremely offensive and repulsive. Why don't folks just leave if they're thinking that way?

As a teenager, I was called a nerd and ugly. When I fell in love I was laughed at. So, I try really hard to look good. I am pleased with how I look now. I have been called vain. Maybe... it's a matter of point of view as to whether I am "vain" or just glad, not to be ugly! You decide. Life is too short to worry about petty garbage. I did that when I was a teenager. It is not healthy and I will not participate. So, don't send nasty emails. I don't like that and it has happened.
