My personality? Let's see, how about if I just say what I'm looking for or what I'm not looking for.
Ultimately I think we are all looking for that one special person that makes the rest of the world disappear. Where nothing else even exists except the soft touch of that person's lips and the anticipation of another day together, and trying desperately to stay awake all night so that this day never has to end. And finding it very difficult to even function normally when you are apart. When your whole body and spirit just jumps with joy at the mere sound of the other's voice over the telephone or from a simple text message that say's "Hi". And when the "whining" isn't even whining anymore but more of a sweet song to your ears that you learn to crave and adore.
When you see what you're partner classifies as their imperfections as the most perfect and natural aspect about them and loving them so deeply that to you they are perfect regardless of what someone else thinks. And not caring what other people think, this is our world! Not your's.
And accepting that person for every aspect of their being and instead of seeing differences as barriers, but seeing them as wonderful challenges to overcome and make the relationship stronger.
I like being very affectionate, even to the point of childish antics. I love laughing and playing like a kid sometimes. I tend to be very emotional at times and not ashamed to show it.
I don't like lying and game playing. Been there, done that. Don't like the emotional rollercoaster nor the guilt that accompanies it.
I don't like to argue or fight, I can think of much more inventive and fulfilling ways of using that type of energy. Have a strong libido, spontaneous and unusual drive.
I love movies, just about all including "chick flicks".
Music? Again just about all, especially Classic rock, Motown, Country, especially older country, some Heavy metal, even some Rap. Pretty versatile.
Like going to dinner or just about anywhere (even shopping) with the person I care about.
I don't want to have worry about competing with your "ex". If you're not done with your past or have other things going on, just say so, be honest about it. I can adapt to just about any situation as long as it's on the table from the start. Don't pop up later after you've said or done things that you never meant with some bull**** I'm outta there, don't need the frustration. Life's uncertain enough without you adding more garbage to it.
I will respect and admire you for the person you are or the person you are striving to be but I won't try to change you into something that you're not, especially for my likes or dislikes. It doesn't work! And please don't expect any less of me. This old dog might be able to learn a few new tricks but I'm pretty much set in my ways for the most part and if you can't learn to like or love me for my individualism and uniqueness just as I will you then it's a waste of time.
I'm not looking for a "dream girl" because you already are that, the question is, will you be in my dreams?
And of course, no matter how many paragraphs and essays we write it still comes down to the same answer: Is that spark there when we first meet and is it hot enough to start a forest fire that can't be put out, or is it just a small flicker of a candle light? Never know unless we try and keep on trying until we find the right combination of combustible personality, passion, compassion, emotions and acceptance.
