I'm a rather conservative type. Old fashioned in that I like to be courteous to the ladies. I open doors, pay for dinner, the movie, drinks.... I like country music but I don't attend concerts.
I'm honest  upstanding , dependable  bla bla bla....  you couldn't pay me to go to a fitness studio. I'm not a player,  yeah right, if I were I wouldn't admit it would I? 
I'm pretty much in shape, a bit on the round side but then round is a shape right?  Well, not all that round either. At 175lbs, more muscle than jiggle.
I like to read sci-fi and am a great fan of Asimov who was for me the greatest sci-fi author of all time. Heinlein, and Herbert are also both among my favorites. I also enjoy a good Ludlum book or Arthur C Clark will also catch my interest though I find his material a bit one sided.
I like intelligent conversation, and can understand and argue both sides of most themes. I play devil's advocate at times just for the fun of it.  I love a good quick come-back, and won't take offense and hope you won't either when I do the same.  A woman that can dish it out should be able to take it too.
I was born in the US but I lived in Germany for 22 years. I speak German fluently. I returned to the US a couple of years ago and now live alone and am looking for someone who would like to help me re-attune myself to the US you might say.
