I enjoy the outdoors, but not to excess. Hobbies include watching videos/dvds, listening to music (any type but heavy metal and Rap), Digital photography, hiking, RC Aircraft Flying (models), wood working, cooking, shooting, fishing, hunting, gardening, pool (Billiards), bowling (bowled for many years) and whatever else comes along. Yard work, though not always fun, is necessary so I do that too. I am not a couch potato and try to stay busy.
I keep in good physical condition and spend time in the gym a couple times a week, working hard, to keep that way. I'm not into those who do not care about their looks, my choice. "A few pounds extra" means different things to different people. Just be honest and we will get along well, and contrary to what some may say, looks actually do count.
I do not smoke and do not want to be around those who do, so pass me by if you do. Haven't figured out what "smokes occasionally' means, either you do or don't. Looked at too many autopsied lungs of those who do.
I drink a beer now and then and keep wine on hand for dinner, which I drink once in a while. Goes great with a steak. I cook with tequila also. Gives chili a great flavor. BTW, I think the only way to eat a steak is rare. Not into TOFU type meals.
I am a Vietnam Vet and retired from the Air Force in 91, after 26 years of service. I still hold a full time job and and plan on working for a few more years.
I have a 16 year old daughter (my only child), but she does not live with me; however, we see each other as much as possible. She lives close by.
Don't wink, as it won't be answered and will be deleted. Besides, it doesn't take that long to write an e-mail and it shows you might actually be interested.
Additionally, if you haven't posted a photo you will not get a response. Kind of indicates some secrecy, i.e you are married or don't want someone to see you, I'm not interested and will not respond. It has already happened and I will not go there again.
Not married, don't need your money, no head games, don't lie and don't cheat. Honesty is the best policy. Lieing tends to catch up with you in the end and it just isn't worth it. Guess that leaves me out of some circles, which I prefer not to be in anyway.
With that said, I am not ruling out distance relationships but I have found out that they do not seem to work out. Just too many obstacle's to overcome. With economic conditions the way they are today even 100 mile distance separations become troublesome. However, for the right person it could be an option.
The bright side is that e-mails are fun, free and you meet some interesting people. Actually ran across a lady on here who lived in my hometown in California and had gone to school with all my brothers. She knew them well. Small world and getting smaller all the time.
