I have always been considered a "Very Nice Guy" to most who meet me, and I would agree with that opinion. Like most, life has toughened me up over the years but I have been able to retain my nice guy image. With that comes being a very compassionate, sincere, caring and fun loving kind of person who enjoy all aspects of life. Becoming a widower definitely opens your eyes to what LIFE truly has to offer, and removes the notion of "taking it for granted" completely from the BIG picture.
I totally love being adventurous in the outdoors which is probably a by-product of being a born and raised Alaskan. I participate in all types of outdoor activities, both non-motorized and motorized, and I really cannot tell you which ones I like the most because I like them all. I guess if I had to I could prioritize them but I really do like them all. I also love a little culture and the fun that city life has to offer, or at least what Anchorage has to offer. I enjoy winter just as much as summer up here, and to be honest with you, I put a fresh fluffy snow laden slope right up there with a hot white sandy tropical beach.
I have just recently broken out into the dating scene again after many years of being away. I am being patient and taking my time with it. But I know that special someone is out there who has many of the same characteristics as myself, and who likes to enjoy life to its fullest. Being able to enjoy life in such a manner means this person must like to be active, and enjoys participating in physical activities to keep themselves healthy and fairly fit. Fitness is a big part of my life and has been for many many years. I am also a fairly social guy who enjoys spending time with his close friends and family. I have quite a few close friends who like to get together now and then for quality time and having lots of fun. I come from a large family as in LOTS of cousins, but I mainly just stay close to my immediate family and a couple of the cousins.
