As a professional (RN) And Mom to my 2 kids I can honestly say that my bar-running days ended a long time ago. That's not to say that I don't like to go out every now and then for a drink if it's in good company, but I have as much fun spending time with my kids, or staying in with a good movie, as I do at full throttle...but when I do go out I like to have a REALLY good time :o)~
I would describe myself as VERY honest and sincere and can be trusted to the ends of the earth. I believe that honesty and trust are the single most important factors in all relationships. Having to constantly work your way through half-truths is too taxing and not worth the time and effort. Dishonesty is a deal-breaker, simply put....even a little fib. If you're gonna deal with me you're gonna have to be honest
My kids are the most important thing in my life, as they are two on a very short list of people that I would die in a second for. I'm very loyal to the people close to me. Caring, and tend to put myself in other people's shoes. Unpretentious, although I do enjoy and have nice things. Confident, but not arrogant. Assertive, and tend to be rather matter-of-fact. I deal best with people who aren't afraid to call a spade a spade. Nonjudgmental, as I fully realize that it could very well be me in that person's shoes one day. I feel that you can tell a lot about a person's character by the way they treat someone who can be of no possible use to them.
The qualities I look for in a man are actually few in number, but very clear to me. I easily dominate, but lose any attraction if I do, so I am definitely looking for strength of character. Passive men would do better elsewhere. My ideal match is a man who has strong family values, is intelligent, thoughtful, has a good sense of humor (I'm plannin' on doin' a lot of laughin'), is dependable and grounded (financially and otherwise), as well as someone with whom I felt connected to intellectually, emotionally, and physically. It is rare that a man can really turn me on with his looks alone....I do need to respect and admire him as a person before I have a genuine interest in him. I’ve learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place. So it is crucial that we are best friends (in time), as that is the basis for a relationship that will last. Lastly, I think first impressions are important and you rarely get a second chance to improve on a bad one.
