Okay, let's be honest. We've all had our hearts broken at one time or another but life goes on. I've learned that no matter how much you love someone, you can't make them love you back. Our hearts have a mind of their own and we don't always have control of who we fall for. I believe in love at first sight. When you meet someone for the first time, you either feel sparks or you don't. Sparks don't guarantee a successful relationship even if the sparks are mutual. Without sparks, there can't be a fire. I'm looking for that special someone who can set my heart on fire and keep the fire burning. So many people put in their profiles: Friends at first and then let's see what happens. That's not a bad thought but I can tell at first glance if I would want a relationship with that person. For me there has to be a physical attraction for me to be interested in taking it any further. I don't mean just sexual.

Anyone who has ever experienced true love knows that glowing, warm, fuzzy feeling we get inside. That's what I miss more than anything. Some people call it sparks, others call it chemistry. It seems that everyone that interests me or is interested in me lives too far away or has kids living at home. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, but after raising 5 step children and two of my own, I'm not looking for anymore. I am retired and enjoy every minute of it except the lonely part. My Fairy Tale Princess ran off with a frog. Even after she kissed him, he's still a frog. I enjoy music, gardening, riding my motorcycle and watching a good movie at home and snuggling. I enjoy good food, dining out occasionally, good company, and good conversation. I love animals and nature. I don't like sports. Yes that's right, you won't have to worry about me hanging out with the guys and acting stupid at a superbowl party. Quite frankly I don't care who wins or loses. It's just not my cup of tea.
