OK, I guess it's time to update this a little and give myself a personality. I'm relatively new to the area, looking for someone to do things with, whether it's go for a hike or meet for a beer after work. Like everyone else here, it would be great if this turned into something "more". Having lost my husband a couple of years ago, I'm hoping we're all entitled to more than one soulmate in life. He taught me to live life to the fullest and take chances, so here I am, putting myself out there. I'm calm, easygoing, don't take myself too seriously, witty/quippy with a cynical edge (a past boyfriend called me "Snapper", if that tells you anything). I'm outgoing with friends, but probably viewed as shy/quiet by strangers until I warm up. I'm pretty independent. Although I checked the "average" body type box, I'm probably in better shape than most women my age... not sure if that's anything to brag about these days though...
So what am I looking for? Well, I certainly wouldn't have picked my late husband out of a lineup of possible mates, so I'm pretty open. I'd like someone who takes care of themselves, emotionally and physically, someone who likes to socialize, with a sense of humor and the ability to enjoy life. But someone who enjoys some quiet, down time too. That physical/mental spark of attraction is a must. No smokers or drugs. But can you mix a good martini???
