I have been a passionate surfer and sailor all my life. I live in a small seacoast town on the Monterey Bay of the Pacific Ocean in California between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The climate here is the same as the climate of the Greek islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Montevideo, URUGUAY, and Valparaiso, CHILE. I have not changed in any basic way, including my body, since I was 20, except that now I have a lot more experience from travelling all over the world (not just as a tourist but actually living, working, sailing, and surfing in different parts of the world). But my experience has been gained just by watching and observing, learning the way a little child learns before being able to talk, without forming opinions, preconceptions, or judgments. My name is Richard, but, in Latin American surfing spots, they began calling me "Ricardo" or simply "Rico" so now that has become my affectionate name, even in Hawaii, where I travel a lot to surf and to sail. I have worked at many things and am fairly well educated. For a while I was a Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Toronto, McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island, and the University of California. Currently, I do contract paralegal work for lawyers, but I choose the lawyers for whom I work, the cases on which I work, and the hours I work. So that leaves me a lot of free time for travel and fun. I have a good reputation for my work, so I have no problem making enough money to have fun. I love oceans, beaches, swimming, sailing, dining out in fine restaurants, dancing (particularly the Brasilian samba), and travelling.
