Although I am blonde, I do not consider myself a stereotypical blonde. My friends would describe me as intelligent, with common sense, a "people person, "a moral person and a good helpful neighbor who is kind and caring. I am a Christian and enjoy being involved at my church.
I volunteer at my local hospital and at Barter Theatre. Dogs are my favorite but I like cats also. I adopted 2 small terrier mix dogs from local animal shelters and have done some rescue transportation of dogs. I have 2 beagle granddogs (no grandchildren). Family and family history are very important to me. I teach a class at the College for Older Adults in "Passing on Your Life" using a Grandparent's information booklet which I designed.
I am a night person and do not do mornings very well.  I am a football fan and I love Uva-Wise Football. I attend all home games and as many away games as I can. I am very satisfied at being at home but want to travel, in the USA. I have never been to Niagra Falls and going there is one of my goals.
I have been separated from my husband for 5 years (medical insurance coverage is the reason for no divorce). I am looking for a non-smoking companion with similar interests to travel and do things with.
