So ... what to put here?
I'm a sailor. A merchant marine, a captain. I'm also an artist but not professional. I do 3D computer graphics and animations; mostly for my own enjoyment but it seems as though others enjoy my work so I keep doing it. As a career the animation field is highly competitive and ever changing. I prefer sitting at the helm, watching the moon's reflection on an endless sea and dreaming of warm beaches bathed by the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean.
Well any of you that have been around for a while can now probably see one of my problems. My work (that I love dearly) takes me away from home for weeks, sometimes months at a time. This is partially due to the fact that I'm single with no one in my life so if the company needs a captain, I'm there. I could reduce the amount of "double duty" if I had a reason (someone at home) but for now ...! So look! If you write to me or wink and I don't respond right away, it's most likely because I'm several hundred miles off the LA or MS or TX coast.
Contrary to popular myth, sailors do NOT have women in every port!! ... well not this one anyway ... this one prefers coming home to the warm embrace of the same woman, again and again.
Contrary to popular myth; not all sailors are drunkards when on shore. I've had the same box-o-wine on top of the 'fridge' since last October (I've had my moments in the past, but they are few and far between.) (well ... there was those few months I was stationed in Philly ... but ... well you know how is is sometimes ... right?)
Honesty and honor are a way of life for me, not just words to be bantered about. It will ultimately be the cause of my demise. You can trust that everything I have written so far or will write here is completely truthful.

Probably should add: Attraction is hard to predict. Age range tends to be 40ish to 50ish but that's open-ended on both ends. It just depends on the internal image you have of yourself, not your mirror's reflection. If you are strictly a "nester" you should probably pass me up. My entire life has been an unintentional adventure and I just don't foresee that changing any time soon. I enjoy those nesting things; gardening, making a home, lazing around doing nothing, but my unshakable nature since I was a kid is to investigate what I can't see beyond the horizon.
If you're interested, don't be shy about at least sending a wink. I'm probably more shy than you! I can be a flirt and showoff (I'm a Leo - what can I say) with "casual" encounters, but when my heart starts pounding, the communication center of my brain ceases to function properly and I am forced to seal my lips to prevent embarrassment!!
