Hey there, Michael here.. What to say about yourself ? I think THIS is the most times in my life I've ever said I. (sigh) How do you get around that?
I work hard, have lots of hobbies, am interested in most everything. I play some music.... the drums, a little bass and like to sing too.Have written a couple of songs, but am not a songwriter per se.
I grow chestnut and pawpaw trees for what they produce, and have 11 acres that I'm trying to turn into heaven on Earth. The goal is to have the land rain down beauty and food. There is usually a flower in bloom somewhere on the land.
I don't have a beach to walk down like everyone likes to talk about doing (this is the MIDWEST people), but do have a nice little pond in the back yard where a big 'ol fish can be caught in minutes. It doubles as an irrigation source for the trees.
I am separated from my wife, divorce coming soon,(my best guess is early Oct. '08) We are still (relatively) friendly to one another ,as we have a child between us, but have moved on with our separate lives and there is a 0% chance of "reconnecting".
I have a 16 yr. old daughter living with me.She is an A+ student (National Honor Society 3.97 GPA) and makes her dad proud with her dedication to faith, friends and studies. I didn't include a PIC of her because I am protective, as a Dad should be.
I also have two grown kids that are out of the house and on their own. One runs a grocery store (23 yr old) and the other a Sonic Restaurant.(20)
I don't really care much about sports. Just never had any real interest.Backyard volleyball would be my speed.
Have interest in Native American stuff and ways. Collect arrowheads and Bison related items. Also like to make stone tools.
Dancing does not come naturally to me, so if dancing is really important to you, I may not be the guy.It seems to me that I COULD dance as well as most guys I see doing it, just up there moving back and forth as a anchor to their lady who is really doing the dancing, so I'm not ruling it out, it's just that it's not in my blood to shake around to music.
I love to read, pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I'm fairly smart about stuff.
I am fit and very active and a lady who would be a match for me would have to be able to keep up, because I would want you to be around me.
I am a responsible and dependable person, have had my dangerous and foolish days long ago.
Unless you force to me into a little white lie by asking if your favorite pants make your butt look big, I try to keep to the truth. (Self preservation comes into play at times like these, and what's "big" exactly anyway?)
I also hate to keep secrets. Can be done when it's important.
I have found and returned thousands of dollars to the rightful owners in my lifetime.
One time it was a bank deposit bag outside a bar/ restaurant, another time it was a lady's wallet with her last $300 cash, some of which was her bus fare back to Mississippi.
I think one measure of a man is what he would give away or steal, given equal chances to do either.The reward is peace, not thank-you's.
What I'd love to find is a lady who is happy with her life and would just like to share some of it with me, be that for a day, a month or years, if all goes well. I'd be up for almost anything that doesn't involve third parties or pain.
The jackpot for me would be to come across a gal who likes to grow things, has a low maintainance style and who would like to learn from me, as well as teach me, new things and experience something different together once in a while.
I might drink a couple of beers in a night or go months without. Depends on what's going on. Love a good concert, say, at the "Blue Note" club.
