I chose shy but I'm probably more quiet than shy. I'm outgoing with people I know and my close friends might even tell you I'm a bit gregarious.
I am an outdoors girl. I love being in nature, especially love the mountains. Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. I love the diversity of the geography here in the West. With the ocean, mountains, canyons, desert all so close by, it's easy to find something stimulating and enjoyable to do most anytime.
When I'm in the wilderness, I get very excited about the wildlife I see. I keep a journal of my sightings. Today out walking my dog I saw a marmot, a deer, and a red tail.
I love live theater and the performing arts. I enjoy reading, books of all kinds. I've played piano since I was four and still really love playing live music, especially with friends. I also play guitar. I have a wonderful dog and a little cat, but sadly, no kids.
I am an intense student of spiritual knowledge. I have a strong belief in God and believe that loving is the work we are put on earth to do. I enjoy reading about different faiths and their related rituals and beliefs. Despite so many vast differences, we clearly stand together on more common ground than we might believe.
I love to garden and grow beautiful roses. I also grow some of my own fruits and vegies and eat mostly fresh foods. I love baking and trying new foods.
I also love to ride mountain bikes and ride often in the various parks along the Pacific Ocean, including a favorite near Malibu.
Architecture is a hobby and I love traveling to see how other people live and design places based on their values about the land, art and religion. I am particularly fond of Western-style lodge-type design and rustic homes, love Frank Lloyd Wright, Mission, Arts and Craft, and homes with lots of beautiful wood and windows.
I love the arts, in all forms. I am a collector of an eclectic mix of paintings, sculpture, glass, and things that provoke the mind, treat the eye, feed the spirit. I guess the creative process that comes out of people inspires me to be more mindful in how I live my own life.
