Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I am a very independent woman, mother of 2 children ages 4 and 6. I am the primary custodial parent to my boys and they take up a lot of my time. Don't fret, I do have time off for rotten behavior, whether theirs or mine, I am not sure. I am currently awaiting my commemorative placard awarding me the meanest mother in the world award.  I am honest to a fault, fiesty, spunky with a bit of moxy to balance out the rest. I am a musician, a writer and an artist. If you ever watched Dharma and Greg, you might say I am like Dharma but not nearly as flighty. I've been refered to as a hippy-dippy granola girl and a closet hippie. Not to worry, I am not a vegetarian and I fully comprehend brand names like Gillette and Schick. I've got a good head on my shoulders. I have a healthy sense of humor, which leans towards sarcastic. I enjoy good banter and play on words.
I don't have the body of a supermodel, nor do I want one. If you are looking for Twiggy, move on. I am not petite, and never have been. Does that mean I'm grossly overweight? Nope. I do know how to lug my son who weighs 50 pounds from one end of the house to another, I can sling amps and speakers with the best of them, and play a mean game of volleyball. I may not have a formal exercise regime (try doing that as a single mother), but I am active. Probably because I seldom sit still and am often on the go.
I am a former flight attendant and speak 3 languages fluently. While I don't have a formal education, I am highly intelligent and well-read. I lean more towards tomboy than girly-girl, but I do know how to don a little black dress and act like a gracious hostess. I understand the difference between a salad fork and a fish fork, I even know how to eat escargot. I am highly intuitive and analytical. I speak my mind freely and clearly, and I am very considerate of other people's feelings. I have no tolerance for control freaks, party animals or fruitloops.
When I am in a relationship, I give it my all. I will treat you like royalty, tell you you look spiffy, and shower you with affection. I am not afraid to show you that I care; like to hold hands in public. I am playful and spontaneous. I like having deep conversations that go late into the night and snuggling up for and extra five minutes before I hit the ground running in the morning. I am not high maintenance and I will never worry about chipping a nail.
Things I like: smell of leather, feel of soft dewy grass under my bare feet, soft music when I'm going to sleep. Chocolaty smiles on my kids faces after eating an ice cream cone. A hot cup of tea listening to the quiet outside before the worlds starts moving. Mail that contains packages and not bills. Thunderstorms. The crunch of fresh snow under my boots. The smell of soap and toothpaste. The taste of decadent imported chocolate. The winning lottery ticket. And a cold beer on a hot summer day.
Looking for the man who is the perfect balance of bad boy and gentleman. Someone who has his act together, forgoes the idea of 50/50 and understands 100/100. Someone who gets the difference between co-dependent and interdependent and opts for the latter. A man who knows chivalry isn't dead, knows how to treat a woman like princess. He is a man of action, goal oriented and successful. He knows how to create balance in his life and has plenty of energy to keep up with me.
Keeps him self in shape, is well groomed. He has surpassed the need for sophomoric (or is that sophomoronic) humour. He is fairly cerebral and well-read. He carries on intelligent and meaningful conversations without staring down my shirt. He brings me chicken soup when I'm sick and never forgets an important day. Participates in Valentine's Day activities not because he's enamoured with the idea but because he knows I appreciate it. Bonus points for artists or musicians. Smart, intelligent and plenty of common sense. Reasonably good looking and very sexy. As far as my type, I prefer men that are athletic or muscular, ethnicity is not an issue with me -- I'm sort of like the UN. My comfort zone is between 37 and 47 years of age, give or take 2 years. There..there's my wish list.
