Since Honesty is the best policy, let me start with the truth. Hi, my name is Jim and I’m 40 years old. I’m currently going through a divorce right now and I have a 5 year old daughter. The marriage has been over for years and now it's just a matter of getting it legally over with.
I don't think that there is anything wrong with a man and woman developing a friendship first. I think the reason why there are so many divorced people out there is because men and women forget about trying to become friends first instead of dating first. What's your hurry? Let's take things slow and see how it develops.
Life is short and I'm in a hurry to enjoy it again but I'm cautiously looking for the right woman this time. I would like to start slowly and get to know someone and become friends first. I think intimacy and sex should not be primary in a beginning relationship only because your emotions and judgements may become clouded. You need to enjoy the other person's company and have fun being around that person. Then as the relationship progresses it can become more intimate.

I’m smart (College educated – B.S. Degree), hard working, outgoing, positive thinking, very neat and organized (I’m not a neat freak though). I can clean house better than any maid service can!! I'm extremely handy around the house as well. I am a good listener and I can carry on a meaningful conversation without a problem. I'm spontaneous and open to all different kinds of activities. I don't like to do the same thing all of the time. I'm always on the go and like to keep busy. I find it hard to relax sometimes because I always think there's so much more that can be done.
I've never been a fan of loud noisy bars or clubs where you have to scream in the ear of the person your with so they can hear you. I like quiet places where you can have nice engaging conversations with people. It's great when your with someone and the conversation just flows freely. I don't like when I'm with someone and I have to be the one dragging a conversation out of them.

I grew up on the northwest side of Chicago near Belmont and Austin. I went to a Catholic grade school and an all guys Catholic high school. I still consider myself Catholic but don't go to church anymore.
I have been in the Computer field for 19 years doing PC Support however, I’m not a computer geek!! I live in Plainfield and work in Naperville. I enjoy bike riding and hiking in the woods. I also workout 7 days a week to stay in shape. I try to eat right but my weakness is sweets; I love desserts.
