So here I sit, wishing, hoping, dreaming of the day "you'll accompany me to the edge of the sea........to help me tie up the ends of a dream...."
Yes friends and fellow DH'ers, I am happy to say that I have been part of a "co-conspiracy" the past few weeks in developing what I believe may well lead to "tying up the ends of a dream." 
We will meet for the first time in early Sept. I will say that in all my life, I have never had or felt that I was so much on the "same page with anyone" whatsoever...not even my best friend of 30+ years. I simply ask that those of you who call yourself my friend, and vice versa, to pray and send positive thoughts my way. Am I scared? Never been more so in my life...but the "one" described by Oriah Mountain Dreamer in "The Invitation", well, he exists, at least for me in this moment. I truly don't expect that my feelings will change except to intensify after I pick this wonderful fellow up at the airport. And yes, he is very much willing to relocate and expresses much joy in being a part of my "baggage" that has made it so hard for me to find someone before now (my fibromyalgia, two teens in college, my smoking (something we both do but will work on together), and several other things that a few I have corresponded with perceived to be "deal breakers". Thank you sweetheart for your total acceptance of me as I am. I will do all within my power to be the best "one half of a whole" that is possible!!!.

I cherish the simple things in life such as the sound of children laughing, rain on a tin roof, whippoorwills at night, snaps, crackles and pops of a fireplace or bonfire, approaching thunderstorms, sweet somethings whispered in my ear, male chivalry, gentlemen, full moons, meteor showers, rainbows, flowers in bloom, hummingbirds, the azure blue of our Carolina sky, cattle and horses peacefully grazing, watching sunrises and "Johnny apple seed" sunsets, anything that reminds me to live life to the fullest, to treasure each moment....
My favorite response to "How ya doing?" is "I can't complain". I love to fish (bait my own hook, take them off, and yes, even clean them). Also enjoy seeing the countryside as a passenger, especially on a motorcycle, and riding the "tail of the dragon" at Deals Gap, NC is one of many things on my "bucket list".
I am intelligent, confident, caring, loyal, kind, spiritual, open-minded, eccentric, goofy, quirky, sensual, spontaneous, adventurous, and honest to a fault. Am in awe of God and His and Mother Nature's gifts of Love and Beauty for those who take the time to look and appreciate.
One note of interest perhaps: Age is a relative thing. I have met younger men who acted much older; older men who still have a zest for living. But I had to fill in the blanks....looking for adventure, whatever comes our way....
