I'm a fun guy, if you don't know Alex, I'm the one with the shaved head on the right.
I was born in Oct, which makes me a Libra in most every part of the Libra profile. I have only been married once, for 24 years, and was divorced back in 1994 (last century..kinda creepy saying it that way) All of my kids are out on their own living life. One lives in the Chicago Area-Jacob, one in Tucson Arizona-Lucas and one in Athens Georgia-Sarah, all three are Librarians, go figure.
For me, I spent 20 plus years working in Civil service in which most of my time was in management. I took an early retirement and consider myself only semi-retired in that sense because the annuity I took was reduced because I got out early. I chose to leave early and I pursued a life long dream of becoming a professional massage therapist. At my last work assignment for the government, Salt Lake City, Utah after I retired, I went to Massage School and got my Massage License as well as finishing my 4 year degree in Sociology. I worked in Salt Lake for a few years in my own business and decided to move back to Chicago to pursue more opportunity. After I established myself back here I started to teach massage at a local Junior College and went on to start my very own Professional Massage school academy which I ran from 1998 to 2006. I sold the school in 2006 and decided to pursue yet another dream…to travel the country by Recreational Vehicle and see things I haven’t seen. I did that from May of 2006 until Oct of 2007. I spent one year in Arizona in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and loved the dry climate and especially the winter down there, it was drop dead gorgeous. I don’t like the high humidity we get here in Chicago. While in Arizona, I worked for a short bit of time for the Department of Corrections as a Training officer for the central white collar office, not in the prisons. (I did tour the prisons and saw some interesting stuff, like death row..just add this to the section below titled “Crazy or unusual things I’ve done”)
I think of myself as varied in my tastes to experiences I want to get into, also, music, travel, food (don’t like fish) and interests in general. I don’t get hung up on any one thing for to long, I just like to experience as many things as I can before I pass on to the next whatever. In terms of religion, I consider myself agnostic, knowing that some greater power is out there but it’s not for me to say what that greater power looks like or what “religious” faction she or he may favor. (editors’ note, I was raised as a Catholic)
Crazy or unusual things I’ve done…..Indoor skydiving in Las Vegas, riding in a glider in Boulder Colorado, taking a ride in a WW II B-17 bomber, coming in 9th place in a impersonators contest singing as Frank Sinatra (I had to wear a wig, I shave my head daily) celebrating new years in Las Vegas, going to England and Ireland (Ireland twice) drank wine in NAPA Ca. Saw Roswell New Mexico, didn'tsee an alien. Love Cruises on the big ships, would like to take the Alaskan cruise someday. I have always wanted to see Russia
I’ve come to the realization that I’m ready to find the one and only and to live life to the fullest with someone I can freely love and show my affections to. I consider myself very loving and when I find that special someone I will make our life one to remember and to cherish. I know now that I’ve done many things in the past years that I wasn't able to do in my youth. I married young and although I was dedicated to my ex-wife of twenty four years, we just didn't allow ourselves a time to be ourselves and since we married at 18, it surely wasn't' enough growth for us to experience life.
I am very romantic and have done some very romantic and fun things for the special person in my life. I have dated, but I’ve only found that one special person once since my divorce and that person slipped from my life, I won’t let that happen again because I know better now that I did then.
I know that when I find that special person, I will dedicate my self to making it all work as I hope she will do as well. The days and nights will be filled with interesting things to say and do. I want someone my age who can remember things, events and times or experiences that will resemble what I’ve experienced.
Will it be perfect? Well that’s a lofty goal and often frustrating to attain. I know that now is the time that I want to work hard on a relationship that will work because we will both know more about our individual selves and are ready to find a new life that will be interesting, filled with common goals and sprinkled with a healthy dose of cuddles, kissing, touching, hand holding and lovemaking.
I love to be with a woman who is taller. Well I could tell you more but now I want to hear more about you.
