I am a one year transplant to Nashville from the Midwest (by way of California.) Hoping to pick up that pretty southern accent soon. Have to work on my pronounciation of Minnesoooooooota. It's a dead give away.
Gave up the routine (albiet steady) job in California to start my own adventure in marketing in Nashville last year. Have spent most of the year here lost in one part of Nashville or another. Fortunately, there is a Waffle House on every corner so I never have to worry about going hungry on any of my misguided driving adventures. 
I like all the normal girl stuff like movies, shopping and a walk along the beach (Perdido Key if you're asking) but closer to home have become a huge Lady Vols fan. Great year to pick a new favorite girls college basketball team! Go Lady Vols!
Politically, I lean to the right but not so far I tip over. I used to be a lobbyist so I can talk my way around the political issues but have mellowed some so try to avoid protracted argumentative debates on any one issue. I think it contributes to tooth decay anyway.
I like to laugh out loud and like other people who laugh out loud. I find irony funny and ironing ridiculous and I am looking for real friendships with real people. If this makes sense to you, I hope I hear from you. If this doesn't ......run....run like the wind.
