I am looking for someone who is light hearted, decisive, fun-loving, honest, adventurous, youthful, masculine, daring, confident, compassionate and a good lover who knows the value of a slow, tender touch. I have auburn hair that falls below my shoulders, hazel eyes, my complexion is fair - a little bit of sun creates rosy cheeks and where some girls have tatoos just below the small of their back, I have a light sprinkling of freckles. I love to wear heels so include a few extra inches to my height. (I'm 5'5", 130 lbs). I have a slender, but curvy build. The consensus among my friends and men I know is that I'm pretty. I've been known to turn heads (which always surprises me!) and it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm coming or going! I consider myself feminine, but I'm no sissy, either - spiders, mud, sweat, achy muscles - bring it on! (I do spit like a girl, though!)
My friends also say I'm funny, spontaneous, quick-witted, outgoing, insightful, fun loving, spiritual, sentimental, free spirited and kind (sometimes to a fault). I tend to give the benefit of the doubt long after no one else is doubting! I'm the underdog's best friend! I'm quick to forgive and to forget. My humor is self-deprecating - I think I'm hilarious - always when I'm not trying to be!! Notice I didn't list any bad habits or irrational behaviors - I'll leave those for you to discover on your own - if you dare!
I'm 45, but people routinely guess my age 10 to 15 years younger. I attribute that to good genes and an optimistic attitude.
I am an avid reader of the classics and historical fiction. Love to garden. A good day with my flowers correlates directly to how dirty my feet and knees are! I'm creative ( I have a degree in Interior Design and am currently teaching an adult education course on how to have high style on a low budget). I am a light social drinker (lighter than most, I have a very low tolerance to alcohol so I'm really easy on the bar tab!) I don't smoke. However, on the rare occasion when the drinking gets really social, I have been known to go in search of a cheap cigar on which to leave a trace of my liptsick!
I love blues & jazz music, I grew up with Holiday, Basie, Ella, Monk...but let's not rule out good rock'n roll, either. I love classical guitar and going to the museum on Sundays (it's free on Sunday's!)
I always have my hands in my hair. I was told once that, that is a sure tell for sensuousness. I must agree. - fulfilling my five senses is a conscious part of my life. I once came upon a raindrop that had fallen on a lotus leaf. The raindrop had taken the shape of miniature glass marble. I was so moved that I cried! Even I was surprised by my reaction, but it was overwhelming!
I love to be around beautiful things - flowers from my garden, vintage clothes, gigantic sycamore trees, cumulus clouds, good food... I have a very adventurous pallet - I always order the most unusual thing on the menu - and usually like it!
Though I love to eat and greatly appreciate gastronomical artistry, I am no cook. (I once tried to mash potatoes before I boiled them! Ugh!) I don't like to cook because no one will stay in the kitchen with the cook! Maybe I should move the television and couch into the kitchen...or to capture some attention, take up knife throwing. Entertaining, but in my hands, probably deadly (just like my cooking!).
Pet peeves - intolerant, mean people; people who discount potential experiences without trying them. More pet peeves - I love the English language and hate to hear or read it used carelessly...creatively is good, but not carelessly. Another pet peeve - soggy cereal!
Laughter and kindness flavored with a touch of ornery turn me on - remember that and you'll have me in the palm of your hand!
