Ok, so here’s a little history… I grew up in Southern California, in a fairly small town called Lake Ellsinore but I have been living in Sacramento for about 15 yrs. I come from a Christian(Presbyterian) household & I love my family. I have 1 younger brother & AWESOME parents; I guess you could say I’m “family-oriented”. Although, if you met my family I think you would see why. I used to be a very active person but I’m not so much anymore. Exercising & playing sports are things I used to do a lot & could easily & happily get back into. I played basketball & football all the way through high school, & softball all the way through college. I had a scholarship offer from ASU for softball at while attending a community college but I tore my rotator cuff & lost it about 6 years ago.
Also, until recently I have been strictly a lesbian, I only mention this because I feel that it is important for someone to know when they want to learn more about me. I have only been with women since high school & have never pursued a member of the opposite sex before. My last relationship ended suddenly after 5 years, but her & I remain close friends.
As far as what kind of person I am, I asked one of my friends to describe me lol. I’m nice, easy going, friendly, classy, personable, fun, polite, funny, trusting (apparently too trusting at times lol), generous, light hearted, fun to be around, & “entertaining to watch” (whatever that’s supposed to mean lol).
I like to be around all different types of people & I like do fun and relaxing things. I have never considered myself to be the romantic type but I will never knock someone for being that way. I LOVE to watch sports, football is my favorite but I do enjoy baseball and basketball as well. I like to golf, even though I’m not very good lol. I also like to go bowling & would like to start playing tennis. I’m not much for going out to loud dance clubs & bars but sometimes they can be a lot of fun because I like to dance. I’m more into smaller, more intimate, gatherings of like 20 people or so. Like a group of friends hanging out, partying & maybe having some drinks. I guess mainly because I like to talk to people & laugh & that’s hard to do in louder clubs & places like that. I only drink occasionally or socially with friends & family, & I do NOT do drugs. I like ALL different types of music; Rap, Hip-hop, R&B, Pop, Rock, Metal, Country. You name it; I probably have some of it, if not a lot of it. I also am a big movie buff. I prefer watching them at home rather than at the theater but either way I’m good. I like all kinds of movies but I guess I would say action movies are my favorite.
I’m a very simple, down to earth person. I’m NOT the jealous type AT ALL, & I never have been. That’s probably the “trusting” thing my friends were talking about, but it has never been a big issue for me so I see no reason to change that.
I want what most people want I guess, a nice house, a 2-car garage & 2.5 kids lol. I don’t need to be “rich’ by any means, I would just like to be “comfortable.” I never really had a huge desire to “travel” but if the person I was with wanted to, I would gladly pack my bags.
I guess I’m looking for a man or woman that I can get along with and that’s down to earth. I’m not quiet sure how else to put it, I’m not usually good with words. You don’t need to be nice because I can be nice enough for the both of us, but that would be a plus lol. As long as you’re good to me... I’m ok. It’s important to me that the person I’m with at least likes my family because I love them so much it would break my heart to fall in love with someone that doesn’t. I’m not picky about the age, but I would prefer someone not as old as my Dad & not as young as my younger brother, I guess that means 24-40ish? I don’t care about “body type” or looks very much; I’m more into personality I guess. I do like to snuggle while watching TV or movies, so I guess you could say I want someone to be at least a little bit affectionate.
I guess I feel like I’m just ready to find the person I’m meant to be with & begin a life together. I definitely do not want to end up being another statistic on divorces, but whether or not the relationship moves fast or slow, that will obviously depend on us.
