Hello there. My name's Derrick and well, I suppose you could say I'm just an easygoing guy, who simply values his intelligence and morals. I am 24 years of age but have packed a lifetime of experience into those few years, a bit of an "old soul" one might say...
To be completely honest with you, I'm not quite sure what to say on these things, as I have only recently been released back into the wild! After ending a fairly substantial, long-term relationship with a wonderful woman, (with whom I have simply grown apart from over the years). . .I have come to realize that it's time to move on and find a new companion to share my days with. My ex and I are still great friends, but that is all. As they say, high school sweethearts never last!
As far as daily life goes, I am currently a full time student in Chico, seeking a masters in business sustainability, and eventually a teaching credential, while working part time for California State Parks. I love everything to do with the outdoors and would like to find someone who doesn't mind getting a little dirty from time to time! When I'm not working or at school, I can usually be found elbow deep in grease and motor oil restoring my old 1964 f-100 custom cab pickup. Which should be ready to take out cruising here in just a couple of weeks!
When it comes to the opposite sex, I suppose I'm really just looking for someone who is strong and self confident with solid morals, intelligence and a genuine thirst for knowledge! Someone goal oriented who has their life together! I have spent way too many years dating the same old, immature "bar chicks", who are more concerned with how their makeup looks than what's going on in the world around them! So enough with that! I am truly looking for someone to be a heartfelt friend and a passionate lover. Someone who is ready to settle down with a good solid man and get treated with the respect and dignity that they deserve! (p.S.
