Recently moved here after graduate school; grew up in a more Southern region of the US and am starting to finally get used to the way of life in New England. Am an outgoing person but also reserved and mannerly. Am very passionate about my research in microbiology (human disease) and proud of what I have accomplished academically over the past several years. Am a very optimistic person, but also a realist. The artistic side of me compliments the logical/scientific side in that I am able to find both beauty and realism (including humor!) in most situations.
