Hello, and thanks for taking a look at my profile. If you're anything like me, you take this whole online dating business with a rather large grain of salt. I've survived the trials & tribulations of dating in my 40s for a few years now, even though I don't have my hair, I still have all my teeth, my sense of humor, and most of the marbles I started with, at least I think so. Sure, I get frustrated from time to time with trying to meet someone this way, but then again its free, and it beats staking out the produce aisle at the grocery store or the history section at Barnes & Noble, so I'll keep on trying, and hoping to find that someone special.
Seems like it should be pretty simple really...I'm looking for someone honest and courteous, who values intelligence, shares some, but not necessarily all, of my interests, has a healthy body image and isn't a heavy smoker or overly religious, and who can laugh at themselves and the curveballs life has thrown our way over the years. You'll get the mirror image in this gentleman, someone who says what he means and means what he says, and doesn't sweat the minor details. I'd enjoy getting to know someone to be the occasional dinner companion, someone to watch a movie or a game with from time to time, and when we get to know each other better, perhaps a travel partner. I do have long range goals regarding a relationship, but let's not put the cart before the horse, and take our time getting to know one another, and savoring all the moments along the way.
