Hello there. I am a single man in Calilfornia. I love to cook, go to flea markets, golf, history, shoot pool, hike, music, designing board games to teach children the history and geography of the United States, take off for a day and go driving around. I am on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club. Playing around in the backyard. Oh and I am a professional snowball thrower and can build my own ice skating rink in the winter time...just not here in Calif.
I have backpacked Yosemite on several occasions. I have stepped over a rattlersnake. I had a bear charge me once and had another one stand up in front of me growling. I had no idea he was there until I was a few feet from him and he stood up. Both times I thought I was going to be eaten. I witnessed my older brother step on some wet moss and slipped and slid down a rock cliff over 100 feet and land in a pond of water that we did not know was there. When I ran down and caught up to him and we realized that he was okay and when we got over the initial shock, we spent 5 minutes laughing and we held each others hand and slid down the cliff together and landed safely in the pond. After realizing how safe it was, we went back to our camp and told everyone that we had found a natural waterslide. 12 of us spent the next 6 hours sliding down the slide and having the time of our life.
Now that I am older, those types of experiences I can do without. But, to enjoy other experiences such as driving around discovering charming little cities is always fun. Discovering a new resturant or a new lake or park or mountain range, is always something for me.
