Me
I am many things, too many to let one define me, but to understand me better these are important. I work in the theatre as a director, actor, designer, and performing arts facility manager. This has been my living since 1979 and I am proud of it. Has it made me rich and famous? No. Will it? Again no. Will I have regrets? No. I love my work because I see the performing arts make a difference in people's lives. They have to be nurtured and protected from those who would marginalize or eliminate them. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree, have taught for Penn State and community colleges, and am proud of my education and intelligence.
I am divorced after 15 years. No fireworks, just slow drifting apart. No drama or baggage here. We have a seven year old son and share custody equally. He does not need another mother but could always use another friend of his own age or mine.
My pictures are current (June 08). I am 54 and have earned all that goes with it. But I don't look, feel, or act like it. I am in the best condition of my life and work hard to stay there. I weigh less than I did in high school, am pursuing a black belt in martial arts, lift weights, play baseball, golf, ski, and am open to all kinds of sweaty activities. Other things which get my motor running: traveling with good company, wine and wineries, seeing other theatres, games-especially bridge and poker- but all kinds of fun competition too like scrabble, trivia, monoply etc., cooking at home and great restaurants, staying in, and discovering a thousand different ways to kiss a woman. I am sensual and sexual and know the difference. I am in no hurry-in all senses of the phrase- but consider this a vital part of a lasting relationship. I love it, miss it, and don't want to live without it again. We all carry scars here but I have finally realized that some hangups cannot be erased just by a good and faithful man. My days as a white knight trying to save the damsel in distress are over.

This is harder. I don't believe there is just one perfect person out there. I have truly loved four very different women in my life. I am open to the"chemistry" that seems to pop up in nearly everyone's profile. But that's just attraction. The woman who can make me forsake all others is:
Close enough to my age to give us some points of reference. I will not give numbers as I expect not to be judged by my own. But really-how much connection would there by with someone half my age?
I believe mutual attraction is based on a certain equality of appearance, life energy, education and intelligence, background, occupation, and whatever constitutes the hard wiring we get as adolescents. Blame it on my mother, DNA, or the Playboy Syndrome, but I am not attracted to heavy women. I would hope that we would find many active things to do together so a degree of physical fitness is important. Some common interests would help but I'm always open to learning new things and would hope she would be too.
As I would expect any serious woman to accept my child, so too would I embrace hers if she had them. With kids around the trick seems to be finding enough adult time to keep the relationship going. My custody agreement is five days on and five off.It works well for personal time.
