I am an Englishman living in New Hampshire...Hence the name Limey273..(the 273 was the last three digits of my RAF service number)
I am a widower and have grown tired of not having a lady in my life.
As can be seen I am a relative 'shortie' but what I lack in height I make up for in honesty, sincerity, sensitivity and good old fashioned manners. I don't indulge in mind games and I am not carrying any baggage. I am a church goer, but I don't require any woman in my life to follow the same path. It would be nice, but not necessary.
I am blessed with a wonderful daughter and son-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren. They are, of course, very important to me.
Unfortunately, I am a seasonal asthmatic and the summer months can be difficult sometimes. But for the most part the condition is under very good control, thanks to modern medicine.
I love to travel, but I must confess that I no longer have the financial capacity to do as much as I would like. I visited friends and relatives in England in 2006, but it may be some time before I can afford to do it again...How's that for honesty?!
I like the simple things in life, so if you are looking for an exciting time of partying etc, don't read any further. I can enjoy a drink at home every bit as much as I would at some popular nightspot. I can eat at any place from Mcdonald's to the 'Ritz', but I am much happier at a place somewhere between the two. I can dress from very casual to smart casual...But my days of suiting up for some 'gala ball' have ceased to exist. I do not like pomp and snobbery.
I have a healthy libido and would expect the same from any woman who may be interested in meeting me. Please don't waste your time, or mine, if you just want a platonic frendship or an e-mail buddy.
I served five years in the Royal Air Force and two and a half years in the Sultan of Oman's Air Force. Both were adventures I shall never forget...I have tales to tell!
Being a handy sort of man I can take care of most household problems.
My ideal lady would be honest, sincere and appreciate those same virtues in a man. She would not be obese nor would she be underweight. A FEW extra pounds would be fine, since I have a few (15) myself. I am not looking for miss mature america, but someone who is not ashamed of her looks.
I confess that I am 'turned on' by intelligence in a woman, while intimidated by a woman who is smarter than me. But don't let that put you off!!
She should like to cook, because I don't. I can cook, but I don't enjoy it....except outdoors on a gas grill.
She should like the idea of cuddling in front of the fire......maybe with a glass of wine...or whatever. Sharing the pleasure of holding hands or linking arms while out for a walk would also be an asset.
Going to the movies, chatting over a cup of coffee or being 'together' would be wonderful with a lady like the above.
