Life is too short to fill it with drama and bad feelings.  I am an optimistic person who believes that it is the connections you make with other people that matter more in this life than the things you can aquire. I like to laugh, have fun and enjoy the people that I am with. 
I am a woman who has a good heart and soul, who enjoys doing good deeds for others ( da,da,da,dum.... superchick.., ) but also misses the mark sometimes - we all have our bad days. 
I believe in Love, Hope, and Faith.  I enjoy both life's ups and downs because it is the journey not the destination that is what life is all about. 
Currently, I am looking to meet new people and have a lot of fun,  good conversation, and connections.  I am not actively seeking a long term relationship ( I won't run away if it happens though, just not looking for that at this moment). I fairly recently ended a 16 year relationship with a man whom I share three wonderful children. I love being a mom and I have lots of time for that.
But, I also now have lots of time for myself when my kids are with their father. 
I would like take that time to meet new people, go new places, do new things. There is no cookie cutter expectation as to the kind of relationship I want.  Like I said I enjoy the the journey and the excitement of waiting to see what happens next....... it is not worth reading the rest of book if you have already read the ending.
WOW! After looking at many other profiles and what many men are wanting these days, I can't compete.  The pedestal that these ideal women are placed on is too high to climb. Many are looking for their soul mate, someone who will be TOTALLY honest, love EVERYTHING about them, make them the center of their universe until the end of time, NEVER lie, cheat, steal ( or anything else that has been done to hurt them in the past.) and who will NEVER hurt them. 
I know that I am human and could never promise all of this to a person, therefore I wouldn't expect anyone to make those promises to me. I would strive to achieve these things  but, everyone makes mistakes in their lives, some even on a daily basis.  It is how the person can handle those mistakes,,,,, to own up to them, to apologize, learn from them, or accept them when needed ....
........that makes him a man that I could admire and love. 
It is his character, heart and intentions, and actions that matter most, not his promises to always be what I want him to be.
I ,too hope to find my soul mate some day but hopefully they will have a soul, a spark for life (  ) that is truly their own and not the shell of my "ideal partner". Julie
