Hi....my name is Phil. I'm tall, tan, and told my best feature are my lips. If I was to have a movie made of my life, John Cusack would probably be the best actor to play me. I like to socialize, meet new people, and create lasting friendships.
Being a child of god, I'm accepting of all people. But I believe a person's character is reflected by the people they hang around with. Good people are involved with good people (they just have to be led to the Lord to walk as Children of God). So I choose my associations wisely. Even Jesus walked amongst and shared wine with sinners(Mat 9:11-13). Everybody comes to a time in their life where the way of the world becomes more a hindrance than "fun". "Settling down" in the word of God just would add comfort and peace of mind. Wouldn't we all want to have peace of mind?
I'm pretty conservative as far as being a Christian (Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.> 1 Peter 3:15-16). How I live my life does more than passing out booklets, or knocking on doors in glorifying the Lord. I've chosen to put my faith in the Word. With Christ love and friendship I know I need not feel lonely.
"Divine Connections", if there is an opportunity for all to make a difference in someone else's life, I trust all will be led to each other. I know that he has a plan on who we should be with. The word is written, "Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.">1 Cor 7:8-9. We will come together in the Word. The value of each other will keep us together and build a strong relationship. The belief in the promises of God will keep the peace. The love for each other will just be the icing on the cake.
God has led you to this site, as He did I. I would be delighted to hear from you. God has many ways to bring all together, both for fellowship and for life share. An example of his power, "Divine Intervention". Think of the last time something troubled you, needing help. When you thought all avenues were exhausted, someone was led to help you or a letter came in the mail. The love of God soothed your soul. Keep your faith in the Lord. This world need not be filled with lonely people. We are the salt of the Earth, each of us adding spice to life.
By the way, Ephesians 5:22-33 is the most read passage at weddings. I hope to hear those words read to me for a final time. I promise to have it positioned by the bedroom door to remind us how simple a rule it is to keep a blest marriage.
