I've always heard there is someone for everyone. I just haven't figured out the best way to meet that "right" person. LOL
I'm an educated, professional lady who was transferred to the Austin area several years ago. I've spent time establishing my career, raising my son, and getting to know myself. After spending most of my life as my parent's daughter, my husband's wife, my son's mother, when I divorced it was time to get to know "me".
I'm a financially and emotionally secure lady, who is basically very happy with her life. I'd like to have someone with whom to celebrate successes, and also to share and grieve the failures. I have a feeling sunsets and sunrises would look prettier shared with someone. I enjoy music, reading, and traveling, though I've not traveled lately. I collect antiques and also enjoy most sporting events on the college and professional level. I'm sure there are other things you'd like to know.
I have no idea regarding for "whom" I'm searching or what his qualities might be. I can say I know the characteristics which turn me off! Since that list is somewhat "negative", perhaps you'd like to share your best points with me because I'd much prefer to concentrate on the positives in life!!
I've been married once (he was federal law enforcement), a marriage which lasted over 15 years. We moved a lot because of his assignments. Been divorced since 1991 and was in one very serious relationship since divorcing. That relationship lasted over 10 years and ended when I discovered I didn't know the man at all and he had some interests which I did not share and did not wish to share. I've not been "involved" with anyone for a couple years (attempting to heal my heart). I've decided it's time to move on. I have one adult son who is not married.
I am attracted to mature gentlemen, someone who actually knows any relationship takes work. That especially applies from being acquaintances to becoming friends, and then into an involved relationship.
I hope to share many of my interests ~ travel, reading, music, cooking, dancing, pets, gardening, long walks, and special times with a friend. I'm sure you have interests to share with me also.
For fun:
Love to work in my yard and encourage and enjoy the wildlife around. So far I've fed many birds, including, roadrunners, finches, blue jays, cardinals, owls, and my favorite hummingbirds. I also feed raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, and hope to add deer.

Though I described myself as "Christian" (raised Baptist) I have knowledge about many beliefs and religions. I don't consider myself judgmental. I only ask that you respect my personal beliefs and I'll respect yours!
