I'm a pretty laid-back kind of person. I spend most of my free time reading books, writing stories, watching movies, or hanging out with friends and family. When the weather's nice I often go swimming at my dad's house or practice kendo (Japanese fencing) outside. I collect Japanese samurai swords (katanas) and practice weapons such as the solid wood bokken (bokuto) and the bamboo shinai.
I adore all things Japanese... including anime, manga, and Japanese rock and pop music. Some of my favorite bands include Hyde, Gackt, Laruku (L'Arc~en~Ciel), Vamps, Dir en grey, Nightmare, and Fake?.
I've been told I have a great sense of humor and I can usually make even the most boring situations entertaining. I'm often sarcastic and I don't usually sugar-coat things for people. I can be very blunt and outspoken and this often puts me at odds with some people, usually people who are trying to manipulate others.
I consider myself a good person and a good friend and my friends seem to agree with me.
I'm looking for someone I can talk to, laugh with, and just enjoy being around. Someone who doesn't need constant attention... someone who can be around me and not talk constantly... someone who enjoys moments of peace and quiet as much as I do. Someone who loves to read and/or watch movies would be a plus. Especially if they enjoy books by Dean Koontz or Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child.
