I have trouble describing myself, as I would rather learn about others than self promoting myself.

Basically, I am the mother to a great daughter that enjoys her college life, I am very fortunate to have a close relationship with my siblings and I have great friends. I have two dogs that make sure I'm up to enjoy the earliest part of the morning: I adore hiking with them as there are so many places in close to my home that we explore.
I enjoy all seasons, and love to be out doors in all of them. I was lucky enough to have a great childhood that included summers at our family cottage in the lakes region, so the water is a big part of my life.
I was brought up with excellent manners that were meant to allow me to dine at the "White House", yet, I can start a camp fire (with matches) and bait a fishhook.
Fine dining and wine tasting is one of my favorite things to do...yet a cozy pub with atmosphere and great beer is just as enjoyable. I love to cook, whether it be a romantic candlelit dinner for two or entertaining for a crowd.
I like to be around people but am very comfortable in the solitude that can be found off a remote trail or in a kayak.
