I am an independent, educated, Southern girl. I was born and raised in Alabama, and I've never had any qualms about being from the South. I moved away from my friends and family a year ago to accept a new job. It is the best thing that I have ever done for myself. I absolutely love my new job and my new city. Two of my greatest passions (and weaknesses) are concerts and traveling. There is nothing that can compare to being in a venue with thousands of other people and feeling the energy of the crowd as one of your favorite artists hits the stage. Yet, it can be so intimate to be in a small venue and feel as if he or she is playing just for you. Live music moves my soul. I am always up for a spontaneous road trip. I love the beach; it is my happy place. I could walk miles and miles on the beach. I also love football--college more so than pro! A perfect Saturday in the fall is being camped out in front of the tv with friends watching game after game (that is, of course, if I'm not AT the game!)
My list of dislikes is rather short. I can't stand rude people. I can't stand people who always think that they are right and are condescending to others if their views differ. I can't stand someone who speaks grammatically incorrect (I AM an English teacher after all!)
I would love to meet a decent guy. I need for him to be someone with whom I can engage in intelligent conversation. I prefer that he be educated, but I am well aware that success does not have to come with a college degree. Seriously, though, if you live with your mom and work delivering pizzas.....don't talk to me.  He needs to enjoy music and football, those are two things that I want to be able to enjoy together.
