Personality
I'm a very honest person who is seeking a very honest person. There is nothing I ask for in another person that I don't ask of myself, and that includes loyalty, honesty, affection, and above all - common sense.

Please see my blog for straight, up front, honest, lay the cards on the table talk. There isn't possibly everything I could fit into this profile box that you could read in one sitting about myself.

I have not been very serious about finding a romantic partner and settling down for keeps in the past, but that's because I'm still very young, busy, and independent. (When I say busy, I don't mean in an uptight sort of way. I'm very relaxed most of the time.) I don't really need a guy; I just want one. I'm not going to list a criteria of attributes of what I'm seeking in a man, because I believe that "personality shopping" is not the same thing as finding love.

Obviously, there are lots of people searching for love, but in my opinion the main reason a lot of people fail at this endeavor is because they see love as the problem of an object. The issue of love and where love fails is the problem of the faculty. Love is not something that falls out of the sky, it's not something you fall into, nor will it just "happen."

Love takes common sense. I disagree strongly with the ideal that Love and Logic don't go together. They do. I'm looking for someone who knows HOW to love, not a description of personality and/or physical profile. Any one criterion will be met with scores of males, but very few males I dare say know how to love.

With that said, I do want a man with good hygiene, in relatively good health, and within my specified age range. Those are my only other criteria than just having common sense in love.

You may have noticed I spent more time talking about something that should be practical and basic knowledge rather than about myself. I don't believe I could summarize myself in one of these boxes, no matter the word limit. I'm a dynamic person, bound to grow, develop, and change with time. I'm a free spirit who loves to travel, a bit of a cultural addict, and an oenophile. I love science, music, art, history, and many, many things. Chances are we will get along.

Now, for the negatives. (I told you I was honest!) I'm a very stubborn young woman, a bit indulgent, and a bit of a perfectionist. I believe strongly in bettering myself, and I expect that of others. I have a low tolerance for stupidity, but I have a great deal more tolerance for ignorance. As Socrates himself once said, "I am an ignorant man." Part of being smart is understanding that no matter how much you do know, it isn't squat compared to how much one could know.

What I expect is diversity in dates. I strongly recommend you don't take me to the movie theater until after we've been dating for a year or so. You'll lose favor with me otherwise. I'm the sort of person who isn't impressed with fine dining and lavish dates. I like to mix it up a bit, go to new places, and try new things. I will be happy with walks in the park, along a beach, and I'd love to attend festivals, fairs, museums, art galleries, and stuff like that.

Any guy who takes me to an air show where I can see the fighter jets wins cool points!

Okay, I feel like I'm babbling now, but that's because there is more to me than can ever be read in this silly little profile. If you are a guy who knows how to love, get to know me, and you'll at least gain a friend if not a lover.

More Pictures
This is me at Whitney Portal Campsite, next to the waterfall there. This picture was taken in October of 2005.
Yes, this is an older picture. It's taken on or around my 21st birthday, which is self-evident. I received a request to post an older picture of myself up, so here it is.

The cake is Boston Cream Pie, in case anyone is wondering...
This is the field trip my geology class took in October 2005, and I'm the one in the front row wearing a beanie and flashing a peace sign.
Trollstigvegen in Norway is the most spectacular view I've ever seen in my whole life. I visited Denmark, Norway, and Sweden in 2004, if I remember correctly.
