I love the summertime! I get to travel and see new places. I have a goal to see every baseball stadium in the country. That gives me a reason to go to a place like Kansas City for something other than good food. The summer allows me to get outside and work on my house, walk my dog without shivering, and pogo stick on the street! I like to get out and go hiking and camping and even a fire is nice in the summer.
I like to live life and just experience. Life will always have its ups and downs. I will never appreciate the ups if I never experience the downs. There is a quote in the movie The Crow "It can't rain all the time"! However, without the rain, we would never have this beautiful thing called life! I like to learn about everything. I go to wine tasting to learn about wine. I stop and read plaques on buildings to learn what has happened there in the past. I like to try different restaurants to try new foods. I will take different routes on the way home to see different neighborhoods (especially during Christmas time with all the houses lit up)! I will Google random questions that come up in conversation just to know new things.
I just finished my MA in Counseling. I have always been a good listener, now I am actually trained in it!! That being said, I am the guy people come to with their problems. I don't solve people’s problems, but I do help them solve their problems for themselves. I am a great son, brother, nephew, and uncle. I am always the first one to volunteer when someone needs help moving, home improvement projects, or needs a ride. There is an unwritten rule with homeowners. What goes around comes around. Well, I guess it is written now huh?
So what do I do when I am not being active you ask? Well now that I am finished with school, I can read for leisure again. I am currently reading "Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson. I am a big fan of the History Channel, Travel Channel, and Discovery Channel. Some of my favorite shows are Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Scare Tactics, Heroes, Prison Break, man this can go on for ever. Regardless of what is on, the White Sox game will be on before it! Thank God for DVR!!! I like to have people over and entertain. I like to BBQ and toss some bags, light up a fire pit, or even just play games like Scene It, Cranium, or Mad Gab.
So what do I want in a girl you ask? Wow, you have some good questions! Kidding aside, I do like a girl who will ask a good question. A girl who likes to learn new things and had tried different things to teach me. She should be able to open up to me and know what she likes and dislikes. A girl who is good looking and knows it yet is not conceded. I'd like a girl who is social, but not "the life of the party" kind of social. She should be able to give and take constructive criticism without taking it as a personal attack. A girl who can laugh at herself. She is an independent thinker and has her own ideas. She will be comfortable around other people and not be too self-conscious. I'm looking for a girl who is just as happy with a burger and a beer and she is with a steak and a wine. She will be over the ex and is ready to start a new adventure. I know that trust is earned, but she should be willing to trust when it is.
I know I am pretty detailed here, but I know what I want. I also understand that it is impossible to have every quality I am seeking. I just want to meet someone who knows what they want too!
