I would probably be regarded as a searching soul. Although I am NOT a religious person but the metaphor fits. To me life is a vary profound experience full of incredible mystery and beauty. I like to see my life as a kind of metaphor for something much deeper that goes beyond typical thought or experience.
I am a romantic at heart and believe in the old fashioned approach to courtesy and honesty. This means opening doors and pulling out chairs or more for that special lady. I like to read and write poetry and am published. I believe in maintaining a small carbon footprint.
I love and respect nature and natural activities such a hiking, photography, astronomy, waterfalls, mountains and scenic vistas. I really enjoy deeply honest conversation and not small talk. I seek others who are honest with them selves and me.
I am well educated and have competence in many areas. I feel I can do, create or fix almost anything with a few exceptions. I respect my limits and those of others and am not careless or egocentric. I believe that peace comes in the hearts of those who are willing to be one with nature and compassionate with others.
Some of my favorites are romantic verse, humor, adventure, old sailing ships, creating evocative images, hot air ballooning, music, playing the piano and ridding my recumbent bike. I don’t appreciate being classified or regarded as a “consumer”. I am not a materialist.
Although my profile states an age range I have a lot of respect for how one regards that. I am only as old as I feel and am as young as my dreams. My professions are fine, graphic and technical art. I am in great shape. I am reasonably well organized but not a neat freak. Life is a marvelous mystery and I am but a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis.
